CERAMICS CLASSES
Structure of the course:
FIRST DAY
Arrival at the Grazia factory.
Introduction to the guide and interpreter.
A guide of the factory to see the work process.
A tour of the factory museum to learn more about the history of Grazia and about ceramics in general.
Students will then be led to their painting room where they will be introduced to their master. Here they will find a glazed, stenciled bisque (a tile), ready for painting.
Creation of a simple design chosen by the master.
SECOND DAY
On arrival students will find a glazed 28 cm plate.
The master will then stencil it & help them to make the borders of the design.
Students will complete the plate choosing among three classical designs.
THIRD DAY
Students may choose to work on either a shallow or cylindrical glazed item.
They may also choose between either a classical or a contemporary design.
They will try to stencil the piece by themselves and then follow all other steps to complete their chosen piece.
FOURTH DAY
Students will work on a cylindrical piece.
They will put into practice what they have learnt over the previous days, trying to do everything by themselves.
Final comments on the classes.
Award of certificate of attendance.
Goodbyes.
